The Amphu Lapcha Pass Trek typically starts from Lukla and follows the classic Everest Base Camp route to Namche Bazaar. From there, it diverts towards the picturesque Hinku Valley, passing through remote Sherpa villages like Chhukung and Dingboche. The trail continues to Amphu Lapcha Pass at an altitude of approximately 5,845 meters. After conquering the pass, the route enters the Hinku Valley follows Hinku river at the base of Barun Tse peak. The route then meet at Mera la pass (base of Mera peak) and continue to Lukla. The route from Chukung to Mera La pass is less beaten and less crowded.c

The best time for the Amphu Lapcha Pass Trek is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is relatively stable. Trekkers should be well-acclimatized and physically fit due to the high-altitude challenges. Itinerary

Arrive in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Begin trekking to Chutanga.
Overnight in Chutanga.

Ascend to Zatrawala Pass and then descend to Thuli Kharka.
Overnight in Thuli Kharka.

Trek through forests and rhododendron blooms.
Reach Kothe, a small settlement.
Overnight in Kothe.

Continue along the Hinku Valley to Tangnag.
Enjoy views of Mera Peak.
Overnight in Tangnag.

Spend a rest day in Tangnag for acclimatization.
Optionally, take a short hike to get used to the altitude.

Trek to Khare, the Mera Peak Base Camp.
Prepare for your Mera Peak summit.
Overnight in Khare.

Begin the ascent of Mera Peak.

Descend back to Khare.

Start the trek towards Seto Pokhari.

Reserve Day

Trek back to Pangboche.
Visit the ancient Pangboche Monastery.
Overnight in Pangboche.

Descend to the Dudh Koshi River and retrace your steps to Namche Bazaar.
Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Trek back to Lukla, completing the circuit.
Celebrate the successful trek with your team.

Take a scenic flight back to Kathmandu.
Enjoy your last day in Kathmandu or do some last-minute shopping.

Day 20 :
Departure

Check out of your hotel and depart for your next destination.
